St. Tiernan's Community School

FEB - APRIL 2022

St. Tiernan's Community School is is located between Dundrum and Sandyford and offers a wide range of subjects, academic and practical, in a multi-denominational setting.

In St Tiernan’s learning is enjoyable, challenging and supported. Students are encouraged to become incredible thinkers, leaders, friends, and local and global citizens who practice inclusivity. With that in mind, they provide a stimulating education that encourages deep thinking and builds confidence, resilience and highly motivated learners and leaders in school and the community.

They foster the moral development of students through a school ethos based on respect for the dignity of each individual. The staff  are alert and sensitive to the needs of students and expectations of society in a constantly changing world and we are innovative in modifying and designing programs to meet these needs and expectations. Most importantly, Students and Parents are encouraged to become fully involved in the social, cultural, religious, intellectual and sporting life of the school community.

“Art is the most intense form of individualism the world has ever known”

- Oscar Wilde
As part of this placement, we utilised team teaching methods to deliver content alongside another member of our class group - this content was co - planned and co- delivered within the school setting.
